Dr. Afify is a board certified prosthodontist. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He received his Masters of Science and completed his postgraduate prosthodontic residency at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio.
Dr. Afify has held numerous teaching positions at Tufts School of Dentistry and the University of Texas Health Science Center.
Dr. Afify is a Fellow of the American Academy of Prosthodontics and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics. He is also a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and an active member of the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthodontics and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Besides his love of dentistry, Dr. Afify has a deep appreciation for research and education. He has been appointed on the editorial review board of the Journal of Prosthodontics and the journal of Advanced Prosthodontics. He has also been acknowledged by the Journal of Prosthodontics for his recent publications, and has lectured nationally and internationally.
