For Dr. Chad Matone, D.D.S., helping people live healthier lives has long been both a passion and profession. A native of Decatur, Illinois Chad graduated from the University of Central Arkansas and graduated Summa Cum Laude, ranking Honor Graduate, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science and a Master’s in Physical Therapy.

 

He worked four years as a physical therapist, becoming the Director of Rehab at a long-term care facility in Arkansas. Assisting individuals regain their strength and mobility proved rewarding and inspiring as he moved between out-patient and in-home care. In working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, Dr. Matone quickly recognized that oral health – from physical pain to the struggles with eating and speaking – was a pressing concern.

 

Dr. Matone went to the University of Tennessee Dental School in 2002. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2006, receiving the Cecily W. Tipton Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement. He has practiced dentistry throughout Arkansas in a variety of communities including Brinkley, Hot Springs, and Little Rock. In 2014, he established Arkansas Dental Centers as a way to bring various dental practices and partnerships into one collaborative group.

 

Dr. Chad Matone is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the State Dental Association, the American Dental Association, local chambers of commerce and the State Chamber of Commerce. He is also a “Fellow” of the Misch Implant Institute and a member and Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). He has participated with Arkansas Mission of Mercy (ARMOM) since its inception in 2007.

 

Dr. Chad Matone is a graduate of the Leadership Arkansas program that is sponsored by the State Chamber of Commerce and is designed educate potential leaders about our state and the factors that drive its success both economically and politically. Through Leadership Arkansas, Dr. Matone spent time in various regions of the state learning about their local economies and how those economies relate to the overall state economy.

 

Recently, Dr. Chad Matone founded an endowed scholarship for Arkansas residents at the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry. The scholarship prioritizes individuals who, like Dr. Matone, are pursuing dentistry as a second profession.

 

Today, he resides in Hot Springs with his wife, Lacy and their two children.
