Dr. Sean Hanson was born and raised in Salem, OR, and he is happy to serve the community that he calls home. After attending Candalaria Elementary, Leslie Middle, and South Salem High, he furthered his education at Oregon State University. There, he completed a Bachelor of Science, majoring in pre-dentistry with a minor in chemistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated in 2006. He is licensed to practice medicine in both Florida and Oregon.
After working for corporate dental offices for a few years, he decided to open his own practice, Oregon Smile Care Center, in 2008. His motivation was to provide the best quality dentistry while accepting all insurances. Dr. Hanson believes everyone should have a great dentist.
He learned the value of hard work early in life. As a teenager, he worked as a farmhand. He also learned core values that guide his practice from his parents, who were active members of their local church. In his tight-knit family, Dr. Hanson came to appreciate the importance of treating others with respect and treating others as if they are part of your family, too. This welcoming attitude is something he wants everyone who visits his practice to feel.

Outside the office, he enjoys golfing, playing tennis, and being involved in community service projects. He has participated in dental missions, and he enjoys traveling with his wife and two daughters.
