Dr. Steven D. Aeschliman was born in Brussels Belgium and grew up in Albuquerque, NM. As the owner and leading doctor of the practice, Dr. Aeschliman has an impressive educational background. After earning a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry, he pursued a doctorate in dental surgery in graduate school. From there, he completed a periodontal residency and gained certification in the specialty. Additional education courses he has completed include between 50 and 100 accreditation hours in all subject areas. Dr. Aeschliman is affiliated with the American Academy of Periodontology, Washington State Dental Association, Spokane District Dental Society, and Mosaic.

 

Outside of the office, Dr. Aeschliman enjoys skiing, working out, traveling, and seeing movies. His family consists of two children—his son, Porter, and his daughter, Sophie.

 

Continuing Education
Dr. Aeschliman is committed to ongoing dental education. Continuing Education (CE) credits are required for maintaining licensure and staying current with new treatment therapies and existing skills, and he takes this responsibility very seriously. Dentistry is an ever-improving field of medicine, and our dental team is committed to providing exceptional dental care to our patients by continually learning and adapting to new information.

 

Dr. Aeschliman has served on, and continues to be a reference for the Executive Committee of the Spokane District Dental Society (SDDS), and was the past head of continuing education for SDDS. He is actively involved in furthering the dental and medical education of dental professionals all around the inland Northwest. Dr. Aeschliman gives presentations to many different dental groups and organizations and heads a study group for both dental hygienists and dentists in the area.
