Dr. Trace Favre is Mississippi born and raised. He grew up in Long Beach and went to high school in Bay St. Louis. As an adolescent, he was interested in the sciences and looked up to his childhood dentist and family friend Dr. Jeff Alexander in Long Beath. This bond was further strengthened when Dr. Favre was in 5th grade and Dr. Jeff saved him from drowning in a rip tide when they were fishing off of Flat Boat. Not long after that, Dr. Jeff passed away from cancer, but the admiration and inspiration that Dr. Favre felt as a youth remained. During high school, Dr. Favre’s family encouraged him as he shadowed local dentists and explored careers in engineering and architecure. These experiences made it clear to him that he felt the greatest call in the field of dental medicine where he could help others.

Dr. Favre attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and was awarded a University Medal for maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout his undergraduate training. Upon graduation, Dr. Favre enrolled in dental school at LSU in New Orleans where he graduated with honors and received the Student Leadership Award and the American Academy of Maxillofacial Pathology Award. During his time at LSU School of Dentistry, Dr. Favre was active in the Student Government Association and served as class president, student body vice-president, and student body president. Even then, his desire was to someday return to the Mississippi Gulf Coast community to open his own practice.

After completion of dental school, Dr. Favre moved to Birmingham, AL and attended an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency sponsored by NYU at the Foundry Dental Center. This opportunity provided a challenging clinical experience that stretched his knowledge and expertise in dental implant surgery, IV sedation, and advanced dental prosthetics.

After that, Dr. Favre joined Alamo Ranch Dental where he spent three years caring for patients in the San Antonio area before returning to the Gulf Coast to fulfill his goal of opening his own hometown dental practice. He now takes pride in providing exceptional, gentle, comprehensive dental care to patients in Pass Christian, Bay St. Louis, Long Beach, Gulfport, and beyond.

Dr. Favre has received many notable honors, including his distinction as a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), which means he has completed over 500 hours of continuing education (mostly live courses) and passed a rigorous fellowship exam. Dr. Favre is currently working his way through the curriculum at the world-renowned Kois Center, a continuing education program based in Seattle that trains dentists from around the world in advanced restorative dental treatments. He plans to graduate soon.

Dr. Favre is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, San Antonio District Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
