Dr. Katie’s career in the oral healthcare field spans over a decade now, and there’s nothing she loves more than being able to help people feel genuinely confident about their smiles. She is well-known here at Sedalia Dental for her excellent chairside manner and unique talent when it comes to calming even the most anxious adults and children.
Dr. Katie’s father worked in the medical field, and she knew from a young age that she wanted to follow in his footsteps and directly help people. She also spent time working at German Orthodontics in her earlier years (the #1 provider of Invisalign Clear Braces for teenagers), which served as an additional source of inspiration to pursue dentistry as a lifelong career.
After completing an undergraduate degree at Indian University, Dr. Katie pursued her Doctor of Dental Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. She also completed a General Practice Residency at the prestigious Northwestern Memorial Hospital. During this time, she trained extensively in working with medically compromised patients. Continuing education is very important to her, and she has completed advanced courses in cosmetic dentistry and sleep apnea treatment. She is also a certified Invisalign provider and a proud member of the American Dental Association and Ohio Dental Association.
Dr. Katie has three young sons with Dr. Aaron, as well as an English Bulldog named Chloe. Spending quality time with her family is always a #1 priority when she isn’t busy at work! Her other hobbies include traveling, running, and reading a good book.
