Dr. Mark J. Kaip graduated from College of Southern Idaho in 1993 with an Associate of Arts degree. While there, he played baseball for the Golden Eagles. In 1996, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology, with a minor in Biology, from the University of Idaho. He later attended Indiana University where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2001.
Dr. Kaip is deeply committed to Wellness Dentistry, with a strong belief that a healthy airway plays a vital role in overall oral health. He is currently completing his Diplomate status with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and remains actively engaged in continuing education through Spear Education, CEREC DOCS, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Kaip remains at the forefront of innovative and comprehensive dental care.
His dedication to excellence has earned him recognition from his peers as one of Portland's Top Dentists in 2008, 2009, and every year since 2016. Most recently, he was honored as one of the 2026 Top Dentists in America—an elite distinction awarded to just 0.5% of dentists nationwide.
Dr. Kaip is married to his wife, Meghan, and they have a beautiful daughter Abbey. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys running and golfing. Dr. Kaip has a passion for baseball and the Seattle Mariners.
