Dr. Kang received his degree in Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine after completing his undergraduate studies at Haverford College in Pennsylvania. While at Tufts, Dr. Kang was placed on the Dean’s Honor List and was a recipient of Dr. Ivers Rifkin, D52 Endowed Scholarship for his outstanding academic achievement. He strives for clinical excellence and actively participates in continuing education programs to keep himself updated on the most current research, techniques, and equipment. Dr. Kang is an active member of Dentists for Humanity, which is a non-profit organization that focuses on delivering basic and preventative dental services to populations with inadequate access to dental care. He participates in annual dental mission trips to Haiti and provides dental care to people that do not have access to dentists. He also participates in annual mission trips to Mexico through Boston Immanuel Church. Other things that Dr. Kang enjoys are cooking and playing/watching soccer.
Dr. Kang received the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) Fellowship Award in 2020. Only six percent of all dentists have achieved this designation. The AGD Fellowship Award is presented to dentists looking to provide the highest quality of dental care by remaining current in their profession. In order to receive this award, Dr. Kang completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive written exam and fulfilled three years of continuing membership with the AGD. The Fellowship Award symbolizes excellence in the dental profession and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
